LANCE MOUNTAIN:
Lance Mountain was born in Pasadena CA, June 1964. His love for skateboarding began when he got his first skateboard in 1975. Skateboard magazines played a big part in molding Lance. The early photos of Tony Alva, Jay Adams and Stacy Peralta caused Lance and his friends to search out backyard pools, build a backyard halfpipe and then venture to
skateparks. Lance Mountain was one of the most popular skateboarders throughout much of the 1980s, and one of the most legendary members of the Bones Brigade. When contests were the main judge of status in the skateboarding world, Mountain was a top competitor during street skating's first phase, but he specialized at riding vert (on ramps and in pools), where he also regularly placed in the top five. Mountain was first sponsored by Variflex in 1981 before joining Powell Peralta a year later, Mountain gained further eminence when he won the Upland Turkey Shoot at Upland Skatepark in 1983, against tough competition from fellow team rider Tony Hawk. This was followed by Mountain acting as the backdrop of skateboarding's first, full length company video, "The Bones Brigade Video Show", from 1984. Lance started his own skateboard company, "The Firm" in 1991 with notable skateboarders including Bob Burnquist, Ray Barbee. At the age of 42, Lance was asked to skate and be a team rider for "Flip". In 2007 Nike SB announced the addition of Lance Mountain to their team.

CHRISTIAN HOSOI:
As a professional skateboarder in the 1980s he reached legendary status dominating contests with his style and big airs. An instant icon, fans called him "Christ", Ironically Christian's nickname would carry over into the name of one of the many airborne moves he pioneered, the "Christ Air," a bombastic maneuver in which both arms and legs are extended in a Christ like pose. In 1984 he formed his own company, Hosoi Skates. When street skating began to emerge, Hosoi proved a threat as well, winning both the vert and street contests at the Lotte Cup contest in Japan in 1989. For the moment the sky is the limit for Christian. "You know what if it's in God's plan I'm going to do it" he says "like the mega ramp, Danny Way's mega jump that's something that I want to do, I want to skate the skate parks, I want to have fun in the pools, I want to skate all the parks all over but my platform right now is that I want to share God's love with as many kids as possible. And to hopefully bring people to know who JESUS CHRIST is or at least give them the opportunity to hear the good news and the message of salvation through him." Hosoi was the subject of the 2006 documentary film "Rising Son - The Legend of Skateboarder Christian Hosoi".

TONY ALVA:

Tony Alva was born in 1957, in Santa Monica California. In 1968, Alva got his first surfboard and skateboard and developed a passion for surfing, skateboarding and rock-n-roll. In 1972, he joined the legendary Z-Boys skateboard team along with Jay Adams and Stacy Peralta. Tony Alva is often credited for the first recorded aerials, the frontside air. Alva later went on to win the Men’s World Overall Professional Skateboard Championship in 1977, that same year he started his own skateboard company, Alva Skates.  In the 1980s, Tony formed the infamous "Alva Posse" and sponsors innovative skaters including: Christian Hosoi, Ray Barbee, Mark Gonzalez, Dave Duncan, Eddie Reategui, Chris Cook, John Thomas, Jeff Hartsel, Craig Johnson, John Gibson, Bill Danforth, Fred Smith III, and Jim Murphy. In 1999, he was presented the X Games Life Time Achievement Award from Tony Hawk, and in 2000, he received the Legend Award from Transworld Skateboard Magazine. Tony Alva was featured in the Sundance and Independent Spirit award-winning documentary “Dogtown and Z- Boys” (2002) and was an authenticity consultant and stunt coordinator on the Sony feature film, "Lords Of Dogtown" (2005), based on his life with the Z-Boys. The first skateboarder to successfully market himself as a brand name, Tony Alva continues to own and operate the innovative Alva Skates Company in Los Angeles, California. Considered the originator of vertical skateboarding, Alva continues to develop new technology to advance the sport he loves. Staying true to his roots, Tony Alva surfs and skates pools almost everyday.
